Record a web page, get its API as requests.
- Recording sessions. A new kind of sidebar item opens a web page in the built-in mini browser and captures every API call it makes — REST, GraphQL, gRPC-web and WebSocket — live, with regex white and black lists, pause and stop from the address line, and a pulsing beam around the session while it runs. Each captured call reads exactly like a request’s response (body, infos, cookies, graph); a call’s context menu adds its url to a list, optionally pruning what was already captured. Captures stay in memory, capped by a new app setting, and never touch your project file.
- Deduce the routes (Pro). One button turns the captures into a folder tree of real, replayable requests: varying path segments become
{{param}}path parameters, folders follow the static prefixes, gRPC-web calls are filed by service, and every request is prefilled from the last successful call, with the captured calls in its response history. Deducing again merges — your edits are kept. - Drive it from your AI assistant. Ten MCP tools create and configure sessions, start and stop a recording, read the captures and deduce the routes.
- Share your location with the mini browser (opt-in). A new Privacy setting, off by default, lets the pages opened in the built-in browser — during a recording or not — read your approximate position, as the site’s own location feature would in a regular browser. Turning it on asks for your consent first; the position comes from the system’s location service (GeoClue on Linux), failing that from a city-level estimate based on your IP address. Turning it off forgets the position at once.
- Richer Response tab. Images now show inline, videos and audio play, Markdown renders, and the code editor picks the language from the Content-Type — with a translated Download button always at hand. A binary response replayed from the history no longer shows its base64.
- Import: a pasted JSON spec reads well. A one-line JSON document pasted into the empty import field is pretty-printed before it opens in the editor.
- Long lists stay fast. The captures list (and the sidebar past 400 rows) only renders what is on screen.
- Project files that contain a recording session are saved in format 1.2; earlier versions of Restorm ask you to update before opening them.
